Even though the hymnal revision project has stopped, the General Board of Discipleship and United Methodist Publishing House will pursue resourcing the church in the areas of hymnody and liturgical resources as a part of their ongoing organizational mission. Each agency has pledged to work closely with the other to resource the denomination in ways that are current and look forward to the next hymnal in whatever shape it may take, and at whatever time it may occur.
